I cancelled my subscription because I was sick of paying to put up with Ancestry's technical problems. As of the 18th I can no longer see the trees. Here's hoping I prepared enough to get through a few weeks of posts!

The tree owner describes Robert De Vaux's grandfather as the "paternal grandfather of the husband of my 12th great grandmother." Really?
According to their tree Robert De Vaux is the husband of Elizabeth centuries after his death. Looking at the child's tree shows that Robert De Vaux is the 10th great-grandfather of Thomas Welles. Their tree is doing loop-the-loops. Of course that tends to happen when your only sources are other trees. This is the information on the 14 profiles attached to Robert de Vaux.

Thanks to tante33 for the heads up about these profiles ;-)
If you have a profile to suggest please send a link to buwtree(at)gmail(dot)com. Since my subscription has lapsed if you have links for crazy trees on Rootsweb or Mundia that would be great!

  1. This will surprise no one, but the tree has almost no support - for anything - except other trees. A prime example of a clickologist at "work."
