This profile can be found on at least 8 different trees on 2 separate websites.
Have you figured out the error? (Hint: How old was Richard when he married?)
Married at 10 and a father before he turned 12. And no one thought that was a problem?
This just shows how a typo (I'm assuming) can continue when people are mindlessly copying trees. Richard's death certificate can be found here where it is transcribed correctly. His birth year? 1880.

It's no wonder none of the 8 trees has a census attached. The 1910 census transcription has a nickname and mangled surname (same transcription on Ancestry and I've sent corrections). Between that and an age that is off by 10 years, finding that census record would be almost impossible.
